Rwanda: Dukunde Kawa
Rwanda: Dukunde Kawa
Light
This complex and sweet coffee comes to us through the Dukunde Kawa cooperative's Musasa washing station in Gakenke, Rwanda. Dukunde Kawa has almost 2000 members and four washing stations, as well as a dairy for off-season income, all worker owned. We were introduced to the co-op's work through the One Acre Fund, an organization that helps farmers across the world receive resources and data to improve crop yield.
The sweet citrus of tangerine melds with the florals of white tea and pear to provide a clean yet robust cup that provides the perfect ray of sunshine during the gray New England weather.
