Chiapas is located on the border of Mexico and Guatemala. The state of Chiapas is small, but holds an extremely complex history, and a rich biodiversity. It is a hub of coffee production in Mexico, despite its small geographic size. This year, in addition to a community lot soon to arrive, we are featuring two single farmer lots located in this region.
First is from a farm called El Naranjo, owned by David Cifuentes Ramirez. David and his family pulp and process their own coffee, allowing the final stage to dry in the sun. This coffee shines with a clear and bright acidity like plum and tangerine, with sweet caramelized sugar notes on the finish.
