Our second of three coffees this year from the people at Kamavindi Coffee Lab, Thunguri is a cooperative lot from several producers across the region. The goal is to be a place for producers to get better value than traditional channels, and for roasters to have a staple Kenyan coffee that is an approachable flavor profile than you often find in Kenya. This natural is a textbook example of the high points a natural Kenyan coffee can bring. It's rich mouthfeel is similar to intense fruit juice, reminding us of summertime blackberries, with an incredible sweet currant and bright red plum finish.
